This next video segment focuses on the butt muscles, primarily the gluteus maximus and gluteus medius. These muscles are powerful. They help us with walking, running, jumping, standing…you get the idea. They do a lot. And when they get tight, they can be a literal pain in the butt! A note of caution: if you suffer from sciatica you may want to avoid this self-massage technique, or at the very least go conservatively. Putting pressure over an already inflamed nerve may exacerbate symptoms.
